The exhibition is promoted by the Municipality of Bologna | Settore Musei Civici Bologna, the Municipality of Faenza, Settore Cultura, Turismo, Sport e Politiche Internazionali Unione della Romagna Faentina and Museo Carlo Zauli in collaboration with Scuola Comunale di Musica "Giuseppe Sarti" and Scuola di Disegno, Arti e Mestieri "Tommaso Minardi" and curated by Matteo Zauli (director of Museo Carlo Zauli) and Eva Degl Innocenti (director of Settore Musei Civici Bologna).
In the flood that hit Emilia Romagna in May 2023, the Lavone river swept over and covered a large part of the city of Faenza with mud, overwhelming the existence of places, things and people and damaging many cultural institutions. The exhibition aims to be a still image of an event that, six months later, is still struggling to be forgotten. The objects on display bear witness to the cycle that led from destruction to rebirth through the power of culture, art and creativity.
