From 13 April to 25 May, the Museo della Civiltà Contadina - Istituzione Villa Smeraldi will host the exhibition ‘Carlo Tassi - Elegia degli Affetti’ curated by Valeria Tassinari in collaboration with the Casa Museo Carlo Tassi in Bondeno.
The project intends to be a homage to the art of the Bondeno Maestro and will display a selection of works - including paintings, sculptures and graphics - from his home, recognised with the label ‘Homes and studios of illustrious people of Emilia-Romagna’, in the spirit of increasing knowledge and appreciation of the legacy it holds.
The event is part of the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the Liberation from Nazi-Fascism, the anniversary of which will be celebrated precisely during the opening period of the exhibition. The symbolism of the poppies will also be linked to the memory of partisan commitment, a theme iconically represented by the work ‘Pietà partigiana’, a touching oil on panel painted by the artist in 1954.
