NEWS - Tourist information and detours for the Bologna Marathon

On Sunday 2 March 2025, the 42 km, 30 km, 21 km and 5 km Bologna Marathon will take place.

From 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be specific traffic measures with prohibitions (in Italian) on vehicular transit.

The route, starting from Via Irnerio at 9 a.m. for the 21 km race (to be followed by all the others), will end in Piazza Maggiore after crossing the eastern part of the city and the historical centre. 

MOBILITY AND TRAFFIC

If you are arriving by car or tourist bus, read the traffic news of the Municipality of Bologna to make sure you don't get stuck with vehicular interruptions (list of streets and hours in Italian).

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

On Sunday 2 March, the urban and suburban bus lines will undergo some route and stop changes necessary for the event. All line deviations will be published on the Tper website (in Italian).
