From Crevalcore to Mirandola

The first appointment of the 2025 Bicycle Sundays takes you to discover the delightful plain between Bologna and Modena, where the two territories meet united by the thread of the Ciclovia del Sole, to cycle together towards the Birthday celebration of this wonderful green artery.

Among fields, ancient fortresses, riverbanks and cavedagne, along a route of about 30 km with no difference in altitude and within everyone's reach, as always with roads closed to traffic and in total safety! A ride that will take you from Crevalcore to Mirandola dei Pico, passing by the Rocca Estense di San Felice sul Panaro.

And the arrival in Mirandola will be a unique moment, with a choreographic ‘sprint’ of bicycles that will do a complete lap around the historic centre, tracing the perimeter of the ancient walls, on the ring road closed to traffic for the occasion.

What will you find on arrival?

The city of Mirandola, land of the Pico family and of the famous philosopher with a prodigious memory, with its octagonal plan, evidence of the original Renaissance fortress.

The CicloFesta, festival of the Ciclovia del Sole, now in its third edition: at Piazza Costituente, participants will find a day of celebration with music, workshops and shows for families, workshops and activities related to the world of cycling.
