The concert features two young promises. First of all, the 24-year-old Peruvian conductor Dayner Tafur-Díaz - making his debut with the Orchestra del Comunale - this year's winner of the First Prize in the International Competition for Opera Conductors organised by the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège, who will tackle a composition of today's music such as Nicola Campogrande's Decisamente allegro and Jean Sibelius' symphony, No. 2 in D major. Next to him is the 30-year-old Russian pianist Nikolay Khozyainov, who at the age of 18 was the youngest finalist at the Warsaw Chopin Competition, where he won a special mention, and in 2012 won first prize overall at the Dublin International Competition. In Bologna he plays Sergei Rachmaninov's Concerto No. 1 in F sharp minor for piano and orchestra.
