On 26 June at 9 pm, in the cloister of the Basilica di Santo Stefano, the Bologna Festival will host Gianluca Bergamasco, the winner of the ‘Premio Venezia’, one of Italy's leading piano competitions.
This prize has launched such outstanding performers as Filippo Gamba, Maurizio Baglini, Roberto Prosseda and many others. Last year's first prize was awarded to Gianluca Bergamasco, a young talent from Chioggia, a pupil of Michele Liuzzi and Giorgio Farina. His recital, which combines Schubert, Chopin and Prokofiev's Sonata No. 6, creates a fascinating dialogue between the early 19th and early 20th century, with a touch of modernist classicism.
The event is part of the Talenti review.
