Europa Galante. Fabio Biondi - Bologna Festival

On Thursday 29 May 2025 at 8.30 pm the Teatro Auditorium Manzoni will host a concert by conductor Fabio Biondi with his Europa Galante group.

After 60 recordings and about a thousand concerts all over the world, the Europa Galante group arrives at the concert hosted by the Bologna Festival, in which the interpretative essence of the group and its founder is concentrated: from the ‘historic’ concertos for violin and orchestra by Vivaldi to the concerto grossi by Corelli and Geminiani.

In 1989, Fabio Biondi founded Europa Galante, when the historically informed interpretation of Baroque music was almost exclusive to northern European ensembles. Since then, the 17th and 18th century music scene changed dramatically, with Italian ensembles gaining more and more respect and originality.
