The Plains
On the evening of August 15, Pieve di Cento will host a musical and religious event in the Chiesa Collegiata S. Maria Maggiore.
The church, dedicated to the Assunta, houses a large altarpiece created by Guido Reni in 1600 and placed on the altar on August 15th of that year.
At 8:30 p.m. the solemn Vespers of the Assunta will be celebrated in song with organ accompaniment, followed at 9 p.m. by a concert by the organist Francesco Prof. Tasini, who will perform a Spiritual Elevation on the Zanin Grand Organ.
