To celebrate this great national passion, from Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 April Grand Tour Italia, in Bologna, presents Siamo Fritti.
A journey through the flavours of Italy, a unique gastronomic event dedicated to the best traditional Italian fried specialities.
A journey through the Italian fried food tradition from the gnocco fritto and tortellini of Emilia-Romagna to the Ascoli olives of Marche, from the panelle and arancini of Sicily to the panzerotti of Puglia, and so on: each region brings its unmistakable crispy flavour to the table.
The event will allow visitors to discover the extraordinary variety of Italian fried food, accompanying the tastings with music, entertainment and a convivial atmosphere perfect for the whole family.
Special dinner: Fritto Misto alla Piemontese On 24 April, it will be possible to participate in the Fritto Misto alla Piemontese dinner, an iconic dish that combines sweet and savoury flavours in a single, extraordinary tasting.
