After two years of hiatus due to the pandemic, Irlanda in Festa (Ireland Festival) returns to Bologna and does it for the first time at the Parco della Montagnola. From Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 March once again Bologna will live with the notes, flavors, traditions and dances of the green Island.
Obviously it will not be an edition like the previous 13: in fact, large concerts and gatherings are not yet allowed in mid-March. The event will therefore be aligned with what the anti covid protocols will allow to do in absolute safety. During the four days, some Irish and Italian folk bands will alternate on stage: Over The Bar will arrive from Dublin, which will be the “resident” band every evening, while Folkabbestia and Dàran will keep the Italian colors high. In these live shows the public can participate seated at the tables arranged throughout the area. The Modena City Ramblers are unmissable, but they are expected on Thursday 17 March on the Estragon stage at the Parco Nord, where they will delight the audience, contingent and spaced, with an Irish-style piano set. As always, there will be a good Irish cuisine with an entirely dedicated street food area and where the heros will be the beers, starting with the legendary Guinness. Space also for dances, with free stages of Celtic dances, and workshops for children on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, while every day there will be the craft market.
