The Dozza City of Art Foundation is pleased to present the solo exhibition "F for FAKE: The Non-Existent Cinema" by artist Andrea Gualandri, hosted from November 16, 2024, to February 23, 2025, in the evocative setting of the Rocca di Dozza Museum. The title, a tribute to Orson Welles' famous film F for Fake, invites visitors to enter a dimension suspended between reality and imagination, where illusion becomes a work of art. The exhibition features a gallery of over twenty acrylic-painted movie posters. At first glance, these posters appear to depict famous films, evoking atmospheres of the past and icons of classic cinema; however, they are fabrications created by the artist, who builds an archive of non-existent films. Through a masterful command of painting and a refined conceptual approach, Gualandri leads us into an intellectual game where art merges with the aesthetics of cinematic advertising, recalling the history of the poster and its evolution since the late 19th century.
