Chroma Chaos

Chroma Chaos: 18 April 2025 to 18 June 2025

Choroma Chaos is the chromatic universe of Ryota Takahashi, a Japanese artist.

After an artistic experimentation that began in 2018 by assembling different materials with a strong three-dimensional component (mixing fabric, wax, ropes, pieces of plastic) he lands in 2019 to the two-dimensionality of the canvas and research shifted to content and no longer to form. The intimate nature of things also resides in its molecular dimension, infinitely small but incredibly precious and rich in expression. The abstract perceived in globular and molecular form, primitive and randomly assembled, takes us back to a naïve experience. Imagine becoming a child again and, squinting, transforming the “real” world into a magma of liquid shapes and colors. Through the slit of the juxtaposed eyelids, real things appear transfigured into a myriad of new colors and shapes. The surface of the canvas thus becomes saturated with a kind of playful and hypertrophic pop camouflage, the very representation of the cosmos and its intimate breath.
