For his exhibition at the Museo Davia Bargellini, Christian Fogarolli has conceived an exhibition project that, as always in his art, reflects on the intellectual and emotional characteristics of the individual in relation to the social and cultural context.
In this specific case, Fogarolli's works engage in a dialogue with the testimonies of everyday life, of which the objects of so-called "industrial art" exhibited at the museum are the most vivid expression.
The displayed works, either unpublished or created for the occasion, are spread throughout the museum’s layout, occupying the museum halls in a sort of unified, large multisensory installation. They establish a continuous interplay of visual and semantic resonances with the permanent collection. The exhibition includes a dozen pieces in various media—plastic, graphic, photographic, light-based, sound, and olfactory—different in technique and type but all united by a common source of inspiration: the museum and its collection.
The exhibition, curated by Pier Paolo Pancotto, is realized in collaboration with Galleria Mazzoli (Modena/Berlin), Galleria Alberta Pane (Paris/Venice), and Casati (Bologna), with the support of Giovanni Pasqualini.
