Bologna
This garden has been created in 1974 by Gennaro Filippini. It once belonged to the Bentivoglio family that ruled Bologna until 1506. The following year the garden has been destroyed and abandoned until the first part of the 15th century when a great part of its area has been occupied to build the Teatro Comunale. A double flight of stairs in Largo Respighi leads to the garden where there are many maples, huckberries and hornbeams. During the renovation works in 2000, it’s been opened another entrance in via del Guasto. The description is taken from I Giardini di Bologna, Biblioteca Salaborsa
